1. How to enable messaging for my Page
First, you’ll need to be an admin to toggle messaging on or off for your Page. If you’re already an admin:
1a. Click Settings at the top of your Page
1b. From General, click Messages
1c. Click to check or uncheck the box next to Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button
1d. Click Save Changes
That’s it. Peace of cake, right? Keep in mind that Pages can’t send messages to other Pages or to people who have blocked the Page.
2. How to add a SEND MESSAGE button to my Page
To add a call-to-action button to your Page, you’ll need to be an admin, editor, moderator or advertiser.
The Send Message call-to-action button helps your customers to contact you directly through Messenger and subscribe to your news and updates. To add a call-to-action button to your Page:
2a. Click + Add a Button below your Page’s cover photo
2b. Select the Send Message button from the dropdown menu and click Next.
2c) When asked “Where would you like this button to send people” select Facebook Messenger. Fill out any required information and click Finish.
Once the button has been created, you can simply test your button on your Facebook Page by hovering over your button and selecting Test Button.
3. How to change an existing call-to-action button on my Page
To change an existing call-to-action button on your Facebook Page, you’ll also need to be an admin, editor, moderator or advertiser. To edit an existing call-to-action button on your Page:
3a. Hover over your existing button and selecting Edit Button.
3b. Press Edit next to Your Button.
3c. Select the Send Message button from the dropdown menu and click Next.
3d) When asked “Where would you like this button to send people” select Facebook Messenger. Fill out any required information and click Finish.
4. Set Sendmate to "primary receiver" in your Facebook Page Settings
To ensure flawless performance, please set Sendmate to "primary receiver" in your Facebook Page Settings. Here's what you do:
4a. Open Facebook Page Settings and go to Messenger Platform.
4b. Click Select in the Role column for Sendmate and choose Primary Receiver.
4c. Should you have other Apps running on your page, set them to Secondary Receiver.
Aaaaaaand you’re done. Fantastic, now you’re good to go to welcome your first subscriber on Sendmate.
